Windrose Farm |
Where ponies are family. |
Nubian goats started as the breed of choice, but after 20 years of these wonderful milking goats, the family began to incorporate a few Boer does and bucks into the mix. This allowed us to also be competitive in the local fairs’ market goat program. The farm now consists of mainly Boer goats, but we also have a few Nubian and BoerXNubian as we can’t do away with the Nubians completely. |
Goats |
The “boys” of the farm. We have both Nubian and Boer bucks. We have a rule here, all our bucks need to get along. Many times the bucks live together, even during breeding season, and if anyone gets hurt, we have trouble…So any buck that can not get along with the rest (or us for that matter) is sold! The bucks are also raised together as much as possible so they will get along. This makes life so much easier, the bucks seem to enjoy being penned with the other bucks as well. |
The “girls”, Nubian, Boer, and Boer x Nubian does are available to choose from. Breedings will be listed here as soon as they are decided and kids will be displayed here for a short time as well as on the sales list if they are available for purchase. We maintain a small number of show quality Nubians for the breeding classes, as well as the Boer and Cross does for those that want a heavier/meatier breed and so that 4-H and FFA members can raise and sell their goats at the fair livestock sales. |
Adults and kids will normally be offered for sale in order to keep our numbers low. Please check here for the most current information. If you are looking for anything in particular, please feel free to email me and I will see what we can do, or help point you in the right direction (sometimes other breeders). All prices listed will be honored and discounts are available for 4-H/FFA/Grange or for multiple purchases. |

This page we will try to keep fairly up to date. We will try to get show announcements up especially quickly, but will also put up birth announcements or news about new additions to the farm. |
